NGO "PVDN" implemented educational and humanitarian initiatives within the project "Enhancing the capacity of communities in the South and East of Ukraine through localized actions (EMPOWER)". The project is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and co-financed by the European Union.
The project goal was to overcome educational losses in the Kherson region.
Key Achievements
- 409 sets of stationery distributed for school-age children.
- 100 tablets provided to children for remote learning.
- Online seminars conducted on digital literacy, focusing on modern digital tools for education.
Project locations: Kherson region (Novovoskresenske, Myroliubivka, Liubymivka, Novovorontsovka).
Next Steps and Future Projects
Within the "Region of the Future: Education, Rehabilitation, and Youth Safety in Kherson Region" initiative, the following activities are planned:
- Continuing to provide children with study kits;
- Involving external specialists/services for educational activities and rehabilitation;
- Activities aimed at youth cohesion and community development;
- Organization of mine safety activities.
